Week 14 of the NFL season kicks off with a “Thursday Night Football” matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.
The Jaguars likely won’t make the playoffs with a 4-8 record, but the Titans at 6-6 remain in the mix for the AFC South title and a wild-card berth.
The Titans also could be a potential first-round opponent for the Patriots if New England does not earn a top two seed and is forced to play during Wild Card Weekend. The Patriots suffered their worst loss of the season to the Titans in a 34-10 Week 10 defeat.
Thursday’s tilt also is another opportunity for Boston fans to watch two former Patriots in action for the Titans — running back Dion Lewis and cornerback Malcolm Butler. Lewis has two total touchdowns this season after tallying nine for the Pats in 2017. Butler also is having a disappointing season, although he did play well in a Week 13 win over the New York Jets.
Playing the Patriots seems to have taken a lot out of these teams, too. The Jaguars are 2-8 since an early season win over the Pats, while the Titans are 1-2 since their victory against Tom Brady and Co.
Here’s how to watch Jaguars vs. Titans online.
